Ollama runs language models, and Open WebUI gives them a ChatGPT-style interface. One template starts both on a rented GPU: name the model at launch or pull it in the chat. No sign-up is needed, because the link is protected by your rental token.
In short
Open WebUI + Ollama runs on cards with 8 GB or more. The most affordable suitable card right now is the RTX 3060 12 GB from 6.95 ₽ per hour, billed by the minute.

Most models in the Ollama library are 4-bit Q4 quantised: the weights take roughly 0.6 GB per billion parameters, plus memory for the context. An 8B model runs on 8–12 GB, for example an RTX 3060 12 GB, and a 14B model runs comfortably on 16 GB, such as an RTX 4080 16 GB. A 32B model needs 24 GB: an RTX 4090 24 GB or an RTX 3090. For a 70B model take a 48 GB card (RTX A6000, L40S) or an 80 GB one, such as an A100 80 GB.
The weights have to fit entirely in video memory. When they do not, part of the layers moves to system RAM and answers slow down noticeably. Typical models at 4-bit Q4 quantisation:
| Model | Weights, approx. | Video memory | Example cards |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8B, for example qwen3:8b | about 5 GB | 8–12 GB | RTX 3060 12 GB |
| 14B, for example qwen3:14b | about 9 GB | 16 GB | RTX 4080 16 GB |
| 32B, for example qwen3:32b | about 20 GB | 24 GB | RTX 3090, RTX 4090 24 GB |
| 70B, for example llama3.3:70b | about 43 GB | 48 GB or more |
Prices and availability come from the live catalog and update automatically.
The context takes memory too. In this template it defaults to 8192 tokens, and long documents need noticeably more room. The guide how much video memory an LLM needs covers the calculation.
Ollama answers in the OpenAI format under a /v1 path. The key goes in the Authorization header, and the model name in the request must match a name from the model list.
